Every platform and resource you require to participate in the Bootcamp is available through your web browser.

We strongly recommend using Chrome as your browser, as the Bootcamp platforms have all been rigorously tested on Chrome. (download Chrome here)

There are also desktop applications that you can download for streamlining the experience if you want:
The one additional app you may want to download is Notion, because functionality is better in the standalone app.

For most sessions, you will be connected in the Bootcamp Workspace to your Team X-y video channel and the Broadcast at the same time.

<aside> ℹ️ How to think about the Bootcamp Workspace
The Bootcamp Workspace is where you interact with fellow students and teaching team, exactly like you would if you were seated at seminar or workshop tables (and you can ‘call’ teaching team over with messages mentioning your “@Teaching Team Cohort X” at any time).
The Broadcast within the Bootcamp Workspace is the same as the instructor standing at the front of the room providing guidance to you and your group throughout the seminar or workshop.
You will also see other rooms appear for specific session (and disappear afterwards) — for example, for the sessions where you will meet the Community Representatives for your Challenge, or the Experts during the Expert Studio. Think of these as small meeting rooms dedicated to that specific interaction you are having.

Face-to-face human interaction is important for effective communication — and that is even more true in remote/virtual environments.
Please plan to keep your video ON in your Team X-y video channel while engaging with your teammates, experts, judges, etc, throughout the live Bootcamp sessions.

In some cases, the WiFi network you are on might be behind an institutional or area based firewall –– and occasionally, those firewalls may prevent connecting to some of the systems used in this Bootcamp.
Because this program is both educational and secure, in cases where firewalls limit your ability to access Bootcamp resources, participants are generally free to use VPN connections to connect to the Bootcamp platforms. More specifically, there no policy or legal barriers that we know of that prohibit participants from any of our partner institutions or companies from using VPN services for the explicit purpose of engaging in this Bootcamp.
If you have trouble accessing any Bootcamp resources (the most likely being problems connecting to voice-video channels on the Bootcamp Workspace) then below are guides and resources to support you using a VPN service.
